Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Family Birthing Center / Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Two years of current experience required License: State Nursing License required Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification required
Must-Have: - Two years of current experience - State Nursing License - BLS certification through an accredited organization - NRP certification - AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
Description: Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required. Responsible for assessing all triage patients over 20 weeks. Utilize obstetric triage acuity tools effectively. Conduct labor assessment and evaluation. Perform fetal evaluation and assessment. Evaluate patients for labor at term and signs of preterm labor. Monitor for signs and symptoms of preeclampsia and other critical conditions. Stabilize patients for delivery or transfer to a higher level of care if needed. Conduct labor assessment, evaluation, and care during the intrapartum phase. Prepare expectant mothers for safe delivery. Administer a variety of medications as needed. Stabilize and administer medications to newborns. Prepare for scheduled or emergency cesarean deliveries. Assess and care for postpartum patients and newborns. Perform necessary newborn care, including screenings and laboratory draws. Assist with medication administration and care of newborns in various conditions. Support the stabilization of critically ill newborns for transport. Provide care for newborns with specific medical needs.
