Job Summary:
This position is a Data Center Cable Tech supporting the customer. This is a new project and the team is building a brand new team for this project. Candidates must have a flexible work attitude. You must have experience of working in Data Center including experience of Rack Installation, Server Cabinet Installation, Structured cabling. This is not a Field installation or TV or Phone cabling service technician role.
Shift time is 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM CST. Required Skills, Experience: ssembly and installation of servers, switches and cabling. Installation of support structures. Experience handling very specific wire labeling and grouping based on customer specs. Knowledge of copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic cable. Understanding of data rack cabling standards and best practices. Terminating cable and distribution frames. bility to read and interpret various types of build documents, schematics, and cable running lists. Safely operate various hand tools, maintain accurate inventory, and maintain safety standards. Minimum five years of experience cabling complex data rack systems & min of 1 year wire labeling. ble to lift 50 lbs. as needed.
