5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week Schedule Notes:
Core Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Hybrid - may be expected to report onsite as needed. Minimum 3 or more years of experience in a Purchasing Department. No on-call required. Pay Range: $23-$25/hr.
Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of purchasing experience, including issuing purchase orders and evaluating suppliers Experience with automated systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer service skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience Job Summary
Reviews purchase requests and coordinates with departments regarding specifications, delivery, and quality Ensures compliance with GPO contracts; utilizes GPO tools for pricing and product information Places orders via EDI or directly with vendors Reviews price increases, reports discrepancies, and updates Materials Management Solicits quotes for non-GPO items; performs price comparisons and negotiates with vendors Analyzes group purchasing contracts to identify savings opportunities Evaluates vendors on product specifications, pricing, and delivery Expedites backorders and coordinates substitution approvals with departments Focuses on cost savings, standardization, and inventory optimization Provides strong customer service to all stakeholders Processes orders within 24 hours of requisition submission Supports product evaluations using market research and cost analysis Coordinates with suppliers to maintain accurate pricing and item master data Identifies process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and satisfaction Performs other duties and projects as assigned Adheres to
