General Summary
Works in collaboration with the Dean of Instruction-Nursing to provide quality education services for Central Community College nursing students. Supports instructional excellence by serving as a liaison between faculty, Dean of Instruction-Nursing, and faculty resource center. Provides leadership to faculty and other nursing supports. Responsible for orienting and mentoring nursing adjunct faculty and newly hired full-time faculty. Supports course leaders to provide learning experiences in the classroom ensuring a relevant and contemporary curriculum. Teaches and advises students.

Assists faculty in creating high quality classroom, simulation, and clinical experiences for nursing students by serving as a liaison between faculty, faculty resource center, and administration. Works closely with FRC to ensure policies, procedures, and integrity of CCC's instructional guidelines are upheld in all nursing courses.

Initiates and supports improvement of instructional effectiveness; assists Dean to establish program goals and objectives, researches and recommends new techniques/concepts, meets regulations/requirements of accrediting and state regulatory bodies.

Facilitates curriculum and all training needs for faculty associated within. Coordinates new faculty training of curriculum, WIDS, Canvas, CCC policies/procedures, and additional training as determined. Supports faculty in the curriculum process and needs, on a consistent and on-going bases. Responsible for making sure courses are up-to-date and in compliance with state and national accreditation, initiating curriculum updates and revisions as needed.

Manages regular program advisory board meetings and maintains member list and communication. Develops relationships with members and supports their engagement with the board.

Responsible for clinical coordination of schedules with clinical coordinators. Ensures equitable ability of use of the clinical and simulating labs by all nursing courses. Acts as main point of contact with clinical partners. Participates in Coordinating Commission for clinical placements.

Researches and resolves inquiries, assures fulfillment of agency contracts, ensures completing of appropriate forms and updates to contracts. Works in conjunction with clinical coordinators at each campus regarding forms and processes as needed.

Coordinates with administrative assistant to ensure CPR, immunizations, and all other forms are updated for compliance with agency partners.

Maintains current knowledge related to the use of simulating in nursing education and collaborates with other users to advance the use of simulation in health care education. Member of International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and learning (INASCL) association.
