Employment Status: Hourly ($25.91/hour)
FLSA Status: Exempt / non-administrative
Qualifications: Valid driver's license and BCII Clearance. High school diploma and technician training required. A+ and Apple Repair certification to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. Up-to-date knowledge of educational technologies and their applications. Well versed in Macintosh, Chrome OS, and Windows based hardware/software. Up-to-date knowledge of routine hardware maintenance and client network configuration. Able to get along with staff, public, etc; be courteous, polite and considerate. Excellent organizational skills, personal initiative and the ability to plan for the future. Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community. Conscientious and assumes responsibility for own work performance. Good health, high moral character, punctuality and good attendance record. Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students and staff. General Description: Maintain and support the utilization of instructional technology in the district.
Essential Functions:
Installation, support and maintenance of district stakeholders, computers, peripheral equipment and software. Serve as an information resource person, assist in solving problems and provide technical assistance as needed throughout the district. Support the district's compliance with copyright laws and other ethical and legal guidelines related to technology. Accomplish all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
2. Help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.
3. Conduct other duties related to the Computer Technician's duties as assigned by the Technology Director.
ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
2. Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions.
3. Occasional interaction among unruly children.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
