Neros Technologies
Who we are
Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America's drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.
As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We're hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.
What you will be doing
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a leader and a key technical owner at Neros, responsible for driving the development of critical electrical components from concept to production. You will leverage your expertise in both theory and application to lead the schematic capture and layout process, define testing procedures, and solve complex engineering challenges. You will assist at making key architectural decisions, manage project timelines, and ensure your designs meet the highest standards of performance and reliability while meeting project deadlines.
Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design process
for electrical components, translating block diagrams into fully functional products. Serve as the ECAD expert, driving
schematic capture and PCB layout
in Altium. Define and oversee
verification, validation, and acceptance testing procedures
for development and production hardware. Drive root cause analysis efforts , identifying issues and implementing robust solutions for complex problems. Propose and validate
system architecture decisions
through simulation, calculation, and hands-on analysis. Develop and manage project timelines for the electrical development cycle. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system-level compatibility and performance. Effectively delegate tasks and provide technical guidance to supporting Electrical Engineers. You should have the following
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of taking products through a full development lifecycle. Expert proficiency in ECAD software , particularly Altium, for schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout. Deep understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal integrity. Strong experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) and analysis to prove design choices. Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and make critical technical decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to have
Proven experience implementing and validating complex multi-disciplined electrical and mechanical systems. Expertise in embedded systems architecture using
STM microcontrollers , including peripheral configuration, power management, and debugging. Direct experience in RF design, layout, and testing for low-power, long-range protocols like
LoRa . Strong background in designing systems for both
analog and high-speed digital video , including knowledge of signal conditioning and integrity. Proficiency in C/C++ for firmware development, particularly for board bring-up, diagnostics, and hardware validation. Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and EMI.
US Salary Range
$150,000 - $210,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
We're an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
