Overview

This role is designed to support Innovation with a focus on food safety, speed to market, including atypical approaches to develop, manufacture and market new products. The position needs to react quickly to changing business needs and maintain a dynamic, fluid work environment. Under the direction of the Mfg Quality Systems & Labs and in collaboration with R&D, Operations, Engineering, Packaging, and Commercial Teams, this role is responsible for all food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of the Agile Innovation Process and traditional early-stage Innovation processes. This includes identification and facilitation of ingredient and packaging approvals, identifying and raising risks by conducting brainstorming sessions with the project team, developing Food Safety and Quality plans, and providing on-site support of manufacturing and distribution operations. Ensures compliance with government regulations, industry standards and the Companys programs and procedures. Responsibilities

75 Represents QRC on Front-of-Funnel Innovation and other applicable projects. Ensures food quality and food safety considerations are included in planning and implementation. Conducts brainstorming sessions to identify risks. Effectively communicates and transfers knowledge on projects and product changes to regional QRC personnel. 20 Identify and support packaging and ingredient supplier approval processes. Prepare documentation to support FSMA, Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Compliance. Provide on-site support at manufacturing sites during trials and/or production runs. Conduct quality issue follow-up and resolution with manufacturing sites, distribution and logistics groups, and manufacturing locations. Prepare issue-resolution reports and communicate service-related issues promptly. Stay informed about government regulations and trends in food safety, pest control regulations, and HACCP policies and procedures. 5 Participate in continuous program improvement using audit and KPI data, gap analysis, and client benchmarking to establish yearly goals. Typical Day / Technical Skills

Thorough knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP, GMPs, FDA regulations, and quality design principles. Understanding of varied manufacturing processes (dairy, sweeteners, confectionery, cereal, peanuts and tree nuts, ground nuts, raisins, flour, snacks, baking, extrusion and warehousing). Manufacturing plant experience preferred. Understanding of new product development steps and life cycle. Pre-Screening Questions
