We are seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer with deep expertise in Pub/Sub architectures, Apache Kafka, and Snowflake to join our growing data engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, real-time data pipelines and cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services. Implement and optimize Kafka-based Pub/Sub systems for real-time data ingestion and processing. Integrate and manage data flows into Snowflake for analytics and reporting. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure data quality and availability. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability. Ensure best practices in data security, governance, and compliance. Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue, Kinesis, etc.). Proven experience with Apache Kafka and Pub/Sub messaging systems. Hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance tuning, and ELT processes. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow). Strong understanding of distributed systems and real-time data processing. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with other messaging systems like AWS SNS/SQS or Google Pub/Sub.
