Job Summary

The Farm Compliance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the implementation and adherence to social responsibility programs at the site level, specifically focusing on biosecurity, pest controls, animal health and welfare, and environmental programs. This position is essential in upholding our social responsibility in relation to the FDA Egg Rule and other relevant regulations and standards. The specialist coordinates and ensures compliance with food safety, biosecurity, welfare, and various compliance protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of our flocks and egg products.

Essential Job Functions Assist in the development and implementation of compliance and social responsibility programs in line with applicable regulations and standards. Conduct routine barn walks with operations teams to ensure compliance program adherence. Monitor and track bird movements and ensure timely flock testing activities. Conduct internal audits, track corrective actions, and prepare follow-ups for inspections. Coordinate bird and environmental testing to ensure compliance with timelines. Prepare for and assist in leading external audits related to animal health, welfare, and regulatory programs. Handle and submit compliance-related reports. Develop and coordinate employee training programs on compliance. Maintain records according to the document control program. Collaborate with compliance management for continuous program improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory and compliance in the poultry, egg, or similar industry. At least 1 year of previous experience in large-scale animal husbandry. Experience in monitoring and implementing compliance programs. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe DC, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Licensed or ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator License, Public Water Operator, and HACCP Certification. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Bilingual preferred. Working knowledge of the poultry industry and state and federal regulations related to poultry and/or egg production. Demonstrated ability to foster employee ownership of compliance programs. Work Environment

This position is usually based out of a farm site. 60-70% of the role involves onsite activities, with the remaining 30-40% dedicated to office/computer work. This role is crucial in coordinating and ensuring that site activities align with our food safety, biosecurity, welfare, and compliance protocols, safeguarding the well-being of our flocks and egg products. The work environment is dynamic, requiring the ability to manage multiple on-site projects while adapting to changing regulatory landscapes. Some evening or weekend work may be necessary during critical periods or compliance reporting deadlines. The role may occasionally travel to other company locations for assessments or training.
