Senior Data Engineer

How you can make a difference: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support AI/ML projects. You will leverage your expertise in Databricks, Azure cloud services, CI/CD practices, ELT processes, NoSQL databases, and infrastructure as code to deliver robust and efficient data solutions. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers to enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities. What you'll be doing: Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks and Azure Data Services. Implement and maintain scalable data architectures supporting AI/ML model training and deployment. Manage and optimize NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch) for high availability and performance. Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep to automate cloud resource provisioning. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments. Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand data requirements and deliver clean, well-structured datasets for model development. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and infrastructure to ensure data quality and system reliability. Establish best practices for data engineering, including data governance, security, and compliance. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering, cloud computing, and AI/ML. What you will need to be successful: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AI/ML projects. Expertise with Databricks platform including Spark programming (Scala, Python, or SQL). Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Cosmos DB. Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL methodologies and best practices. Proficient with NoSQL databases and their design/performance considerations. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. Skilled in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep. Solid programming skills in Python, Scala, or similar languages. Experience working closely with AI/ML teams to deliver data solutions that support machine learning workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders. This is a remote position. Salary Range $120,500.00 To $157,000.00 / year Benefits and perks The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
