Noblis has an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist with expertise in the operation, repair and maintenance of US Naval Ships' A/C Electrical Controls, Refrigeration System Controls, Air Compressor Controls, and combat dry air system, and electronic cooling water systems. This position will be located in Norfolk, VA and will also entail some travel to facilitate onsite trainings. In this role you will be responsible for training ship force personnel on operation, troubleshooting, and repair of Auxiliary Equipment onboard US Guided Missile Destroyers using technical documents including controlled curriculum work packages, formal work processes and procedures. Responsibilities: Providing support for various assessments, inspections, and fleet technical assistance, and provide technical assistance, assessment, equipment inspections, corrective actions, Training sailors as tasked. Providing assessment status and operational checks of equipment and systems which include: Identifying and documenting system and/or equipment problems Correcting and/or repairing identified discrepancies and required corrective actions Identifying and documenting logistic support deficiencies and recommending corrective actions Developing and providing on-the job training (OJT) to Ships Force personnel Developing, revising and maintaining US Navy curriculum to distribute to US Navy Sailors Reviewing specifications, technical manuals, and other technical documentation that relate to Hull Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems Support project planning and execution efforts for technical documentation research, development, and analyses Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) concepts in maintenance requirement analysis Reviewing maintenance documentation for clarity, conformity, and proper structure according to the Navy's most recent guidelines Facilitating effective government and industry team relationships Facilitating and participating in project team meetings and discussions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness Being familiar with Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) Modernization training and system level training for in-service and new construction ships Conducting classroom training and lab training and hot plant operations at LBES Develop End of Mission reports, which provide comments on success of the classes, participation by the crew, adequacy of curriculum and equipment Providing direct support to the assigned program technical lead Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of relevant experience. Will also consider an Associates degree and 6 years or a high diploma and 9 years of relevant experience in lieu a degree Hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, assessment, operation, repair and maintenance of US Naval Ships' A/C Electrical Controls, Refrigeration System Controls, Air Compressor Controls, and combat dry air system, and electronic cooling water systems Experience in various formalized Navy training environments and delivering training material, administering tests, evaluating performance, and performing curriculum maintenance to meet formalized training requirements Must be familiar with U.S. Navy 3M policies and procedures Understanding of EOSS (Engineering Operational Sequencing Systems), EOCC (Engineering Operational Casualty Control), and the role they play in engineering plants on DDG and/or CG class ships Must to be willing to travel up to 25-35% of the time to conduct onsite training Must be a US citizen with and active SECRET security clearance or able to obtain one Desired Qualifications: DDG EOOW qualified a plus Master Training Specialist ETT (Embedded Training Team) experience Engineering rate instructor with 9502 NEC Engineering background Mechanical GSM type Repair Facility experience Proficient using general and special purpose electronic test equipment to perform organizational level maintenance if needed. Specialized experience in the following: Use of accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment Interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics Must have recent and current experience within two (2) years Utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications to compile information for reports and history files, transfer digital pictures from camera to computer, enhance as required, and label them for report purposes as well as maintain curriculum development Communicate effectively in writing and orally Interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, plans, and the ability as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot, analyze and provide distance support for listed equipment
