Integration Solutions Engineer

The Integration Solutions Engineer delivers high-quality, customer-facing integrations that unlock the ability for clients to keep their systems in sync through batch file transfers or real-time APIs. These integrations are critical to client adoption of the Built platform and directly impact onboarding success and revenue. As a mid-level technical contributor, you'll partner with clients to scope requirements and build integrations in Built's middleware platform (NGP). This includes designing SQL-based data transformations, configuring bi-directional data flows, and implementing both batch file transfers and real-time API connections. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure integrations are reliable, secure, and scalable, while contributing to client-facing documentation, internal playbooks, and reusable tooling that improve delivery across the team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their technical skills and ready to grow into full end-to-end integration ownership. Execute and deliver integrations: Own the delivery of standard integrations from scoping through deployment in NGP, ensuring clients can successfully onboard and maintain system synchronization. Contribute to scoping and building custom integrations that require new mappings, workflows, or data formats in NGP. Translate data between client systems and Built's schema using SQL-based transformations in NGP - whether ingesting client data for onboarding or transforming Built data for outbound delivery. Configure integrations to support bi-directional data flows, including batch file transfers and real-time APIs (payload mappings, sequencing, webhook/event setup, authentication, cadence management) to keep Built and client systems in sync. Set up test environments, run validation workflows, and support go-live execution to minimize risk to client onboarding timelines. Monitor deployed integrations in NGP, conduct initial troubleshooting, and escalate performance issues to protect client delivery. Apply integration testing practices to validate end-to-end workflows and ensure accuracy before client go-lives. Participate in peer reviews of NGP pipelines and contribute to reusable logic or internal playbooks that improve outcomes across future integrations. Grow and take ownership: Participate in sprint reviews and product demos to deepen knowledge of NGP and Built products, connecting platform features back to client use cases. Produce documentation for both client deliverables (integration specs, mappings, test plans) and internal processes (playbooks, reusable patterns, troubleshooting steps). Leverage AI tools to improve integration efficiency, automate routine checks, and enhance documentation quality for faster client adoption. Build deeper understanding of client industries (e.g., banking, real estate, construction) to anticipate integration needs before they are voiced. Independently manage competing integration priorities, communicating blockers early to keep client projects on track. Protect integration delivery timelines by pushing back on late or out-of-scope requests, guiding stakeholders to the appropriate channels for prioritization. Skills and experience: Must-have: 2+ years of experience in a technical implementation, systems integration, software development, or data delivery role. Familiarity with middleware/iPaaS concepts (system interoperability, event-driven flows), with the ability/interest to use SQL as part of integration build-outs in NGP. Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and system-to-system data movement. Foundational understanding of real-time API workflows (triggers, payload formatting, authentication methods, secure data handling, status codes). Experience delivering integrations in SaaS or cloud-based, multi-tenant environments. Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Ability to independently manage delivery tasks, communicate blockers, and meet project timelines while balancing multiple client priorities. Nice-to-have: Experience scoping technical work with external stakeholders or clients. Scripting experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for light automation or data cleanup. Familiarity with integration testing strategies, observability, and monitoring frameworks. Exposure to REST APIs, JSON structures, or workflow orchestration tools. Familiarity with common industry systems across categories - such as banking cores (FIS, Jack Henry, Fiserv), loan origination systems (nCino, Abrigo, ICE Encompass), mortgage servicing (ICE MSP), or construction/real estate ERPs (Procore, Yardi, Sage, Oracle). Built's salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees. Your total rewards package at Built will include equity, top-notch medical, dental and vision coverage, an unlimited PTO policy, and other benefits.
