Description Join GEOAxIS as a Lead Technical Engineer and be part of a dynamic team that drives technical execution, innovation, and modernization within our critical Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services. With a mission to ensure secure access to NGA GEOINT content, we are looking for a technical leader who is passionate about enhancing system architecture and improving service resilience through 2031 under the GxNext contract. Primary Responsibilities Propose and implement architectural enhancements to improve the GEOAxIS system.

Engage in strategic design initiatives to foster long-term technical innovation.

Collaborate with external stakeholders to address mission-critical requirements.

Provide hands-on implementation support to both development and operational teams.

Lead design efforts to incorporate new ICAM technologies and services.

Utilize automation and DevOps best practices to minimize technical debt.

Enhance the availability and observability of GEOAxIS services.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 4+ years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 6+ years in Software Development, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.

Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in DevOps practices.

Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Bash, Python, Java, or NodeJS.

Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.

Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong interpersonal capabilities with a proven track record of leading technical teams.

Candidates must be able to work in Chantilly, VA, at least 4 days a week, with occasional meetings in Reston and/or Springfield, VA.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered for the position.

Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience in ICAM systems.

Experience designing or supporting RESTful or SOAP services.

Hands-on knowledge of container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Rancher RKE2 or OpenShift.

Experience in containerizing legacy software systems.

Familiarity with DevOps tools like Ansible, ArgoCD, GitLab, Nexus3, and Kubernetes.

Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, or CKA/CKAD.

A strong background in Linux system administration.

This range is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the offer will include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
