Overview
We are seeking an Information Systems Security Analyst (ACL) to support cybersecurity operations at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field (AAAF). This position is fully on-site due to the classified nature of the systems supported. The Analyst is responsible for implementing, enforcing, and continuously improving cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures for DoD information systems. Key duties include conducting vulnerability assessments using ACAS, STIGs, and SCAP tools; performing continuous monitoring and risk analysis; and supporting system accreditation and certification processes. The role involves direct coordination with system owners and stakeholders to ensure secure implementation of operating systems and network devices, using approved tools and technologies listed under NIAP and DISA APL. Responsibilities
Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, standards and methodologies. Performing vulnerability assessments using ACAS, DISA STIG, and SCAP tools, incorporating automated Benchmarks. Implementing security configurations for operating systems and network devices in accordance with DISA-approved STIGs. Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis, and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems. Identifying NIAP-certified technologies and DISA Approved Products List (APL). Preparing certification letters and Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) with system owners for interface and networking implementation. Qualifications
Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area of study. Certifications: Secret Clearance. Experience: 3 years of experience as an ISSO/Cybersecurity professional may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree. 3 years Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security; 3 years performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis, and mitigation for DoD information systems; 3 years authorizing or accrediting systems utilizing RMF. Skills and Technologies: Strong analytical skills; attention to detail and record-keeping; valid driver's license; willingness to work in varied weather conditions on a remote island; ability to respond to emergency situations including after-hours calls. Other requirements: Highly motivated, capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced, schedule-constrained security environment; team-oriented; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
