Hybrid Semiconductor Purchasing Manager
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Sunnyvale Technical Center, Sunnyvale, California or Warren GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]. As a member of the GM semiconductor purchasing team, you will be part of developing a strong semiconductor supply chain to support our fast-growing electronics & software needs. Specifically, you will be responsible for a particular semicategory category and actively leading the development of commodity strategies, sourcing/negotiations, budget, and execution. You will manage relationships, collaborate with suppliers and internal key stakeholders including engineering, legal, finance, operations and drive cross-functional alignment. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment. The salary range for this role is (122,700 - 196,200). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of post graduate experience in Purchasing, Logistics Supply Chain, or Program Management Proven leadership capability Strong analytical skills Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders within time constraints, as well as building relationships internally & externally Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving environment Experience managing and negotiating commercial issues with suppliers as well as contract drafting, redlining, and working cross functionally with legal Highly proficient oral and written communication skills and adept at engaging and presenting to Senior Executives Demonstrates ability to develop and apply deep cost knowledge Knowledge of procurement and materials software, as well as MS software applications 10% travel Domestically + Internationally Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field MBA or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability Experience in Semiconductors GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
