Purpose Statement
The job of Education Support Personnel (JC606/608) involves assisting in monitoring and instructing students under the supervision of certified staff. Responsibilities include supporting behavioral, academic, and social education, observing and documenting student progress, implementing instructional plans, and addressing students' health care needs. This role reports to the Administrative Manager or Principal. Essential Functions
Adapts learning processes under the guidance of certified staff to accommodate students at various learning levels and with different abilities. Assists certified staff with implementing and supervising instructional activities, reinforcing learning objectives, and ensuring student engagement. Supports students in classroom and daily living skills to foster a positive environment and address individual needs. Attends relevant meetings to stay informed and communicate effectively. Implements learning strategies to promote student recovery and progress. Maintains instructional materials and student records for documentation and resource availability. Monitors students in various settings to model appropriate behavior and ensure safety. Provides positive reinforcement to support student success. Responds to emergencies and conflicts to ensure safety and de-escalate situations. Other Functions

The Education Support Specialist (JC607) assists in supervising and instructing students with special needs, under certified staff supervision. Responsibilities include supporting students with disabilities, observing and documenting progress, and providing health and learning support. This role reports to the Principal. Essential Functions
Supports students with disabilities using adaptive equipment and assistance with daily needs. Assists with instructional activities and safety measures. Attends meetings for information exchange and professional development. Implements behavioral plans from IEP teams. Maintains confidential records and instructional materials. Monitors students in various activities to ensure safety and appropriate behavior. Performs hygiene procedures to maintain a safe environment. Supports physical and intellectual development through various learning activities. Responds to emergencies and conflicts to ensure safety. Supports behavioral plans for students with emotional or behavioral challenges. Transports students as directed to ensure their safe arrival at destinations. Other Functions
