Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, in compliance with DOT and company safety standards. Pick up and deliver products such as commercial tires, retreads, wheels, and mechanical parts to customer locations and company branches. Secure loads properly using straps, chains, or other approved methods to ensure safe transport. Complete and maintain accurate trip logs, delivery tickets, vehicle inspection reports, and hours of service documentation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report mechanical issues. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Assist in loading/unloading materials using pallet jacks, liftgates, or by hand (up to 100 lbs.). Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle and appearance. Minimum Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A license. Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check. Minimum of 1 year of CDL-A driving experience preferred (will vary by employer). Knowledge of and compliance with DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy items (tires may weigh up to 150 lbs.) with or without mechanical assistance. Good customer service skills and a strong work ethic. Preferred Experience:
Experience hauling commercial tires, mechanical equipment, or working in the automotive/trucking/tire industry. Familiarity with flatbed trailers, liftgates, and load securement tools. Experience with route delivery or fleet delivery logistics. Benefits:
