Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated RF Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of RF and Microwave connector applications. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead design activities to develop, evaluate, maintain, and improve connector designs in alignment with customer application requirements.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to assess customer needs and optimize designs for both performance and cost. Responsibilities include providing engineering support, resolving technical issues, offering training, and supporting production activities.

This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of experience in RF mechanical engineering. The role involves using AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D design software to create, analyze, test, and evaluate designs. A hands-on approach and the ability to work independently are essential, along with a strong desire to apply engineering principles from concept through to production.

Qualifications:

Design Capabilities and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF and Microwave connector design Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 2D/3D CAD tools Demonstrated experience with connector designs operating above 40 GHz Familiarity with a range of materials used for bodies, contacts, and insulators Experience with standard and innovative manufacturing and assembly processes Collaborative experience with electrical engineers for both new and legacy designs Strong understanding of mechanical design impact on electrical performance Quality Focus and Experience:

Solid understanding of quality principles and product quality support Experience with ISO9001-2015 is considered a plus Procedural and Documentation Experience:

Experience contributing to departmental procedure development Familiarity with methodical design development practices, project documentation, and validation Working knowledge of Design or Process FMEA is a plus
