Primary Purpose:

Assist the principal in directing and managing the overall instructional program and campus operations. Provide leadership in developing and implementing programs that support student success, teacher effectiveness, and a positive school culture. Serve as a key administrator in overseeing student activities, discipline, and campus initiatives.

Qualifications: Education/Certification:

Master's degree from accredited university Texas Principal or other appropriate Texas certification Possess or obtain upon acceptance of position: Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) and Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) Certification by the Texas Education Agency Valid driver's license with driving record that meets District requirements Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of campus operations, curriculum, and instruction Strong ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Proficient in managing budgets and personnel Skilled in implementing policies and procedures Ability to interpret and utilize data for decision-making Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience as a classroom teacher Experience in instructional leadership or administrative roles preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Leadership

1. Support the development and implementation of innovative instructional programs. 2. Monitor and reinforce effective instructional strategies and classroom management practices. 3. Foster a collaborative and professional learning culture among staff. 4. Assist in leading professional development initiatives aligned with campus and district goals.

School Improvement and Operations

5. Collaborate in the planning and execution of activities to achieve the school's mission. 6. Support the development and monitoring of the campus improvement plan. 7. Assist in maintaining campus performance data and academic excellence indicators. 8. Serve as acting principal in the absence of the principal. 9. Assist in the development of class schedules, teacher assignments, and extracurricular activities. 10. Oversee attendance monitoring and work with staff to address student attendance concerns. 11. Coordinate operational services such as transportation, custodial, and cafeteria support. 12. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations affecting schools.

Student Management and School Culture

13. Serve as a campus behavior coordinator, ensuring a positive and equitable discipline system. 14. Work collaboratively with staff and students to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. 15. Conduct parent, student, and teacher conferences regarding school-related issues. 16. Ensure adequate supervision of students during instructional and non-instructional periods. Personnel and Leadership Development 17. Observe and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and support as a second appraiser. 18. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members. 19. Support staff in professional growth and leadership opportunities.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement

20. Actively engage with parents, students, and the community to support school initiatives. 21. Communicate the school's vision and goals effectively to stakeholders. 22. Organize and promote programs that encourage family and community involvement. Other Responsibilities 23. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. 24. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise and evaluate the work of assigned professional and support staff, including teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, and administrative assistants.

Working Conditions:

Tools/Equipment Used : Standard office equipment, including a personal computer and peripherals.

Posture : Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting.

Motion:

Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching.

Lifting : Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); possible physical restraint of students if necessary.

Environment:

Work may include prolonged or irregular hours, exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and travel within the district or state.

Mental Demands : Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
