Important : This role is based at our Westlake Village, CA corporate offices on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week onsite).

About the Role:

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Endpoint Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise endpoint and workstation management systems. You will play a key role in ensuring a secure, scalable, and seamless computing experience across our corporate offices, retail locations, and remote workforce. This role will drive initiatives around endpoint security, automation, compliance, configuration management, and end-user experience across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. A significant focus will be on supporting retail store technology (POS, networking, in-store applications, and peripherals), with an emphasis on uptime and smooth customer-facing operations.

What You'll Do: Serve as technical lead for endpoint platforms, including Microsoft Intune, Mosyle MDM, and Tanium. Design and maintain scalable OS deployment workflows (Autopilot, Mosyle, Jamf Pro). Automate provisioning, updates, and compliance using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Implement endpoint protection (EDR, AV, DLP, vulnerability remediation) with Tanium. Monitor and optimize performance with tools such as Tanium, Endpoint Analytics, and Nexthink. Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and other regulatory frameworks. Partner with EIS, Help Desk, and Store Technology teams to deliver seamless endpoint support. Provide Tier 3 SME support for major incidents; mentor support teams. Oversee full lifecycle management of endpoint hardware/software. Automate OS and application patching with minimal user disruption. Maintain documentation, SOPs, and onboarding guides for endpoint operations. Stay current on AI-driven endpoint technologies to drive secure efficiencies. Train IT teams and end-users on endpoint best practices. Provide Tier 2/3 support for store technologies (POS, payment devices, kiosks, scanners, printers, etc.). Support retail applications, including ERP integrations, inventory management, and scheduling tools. What You'll Need:

5+ years in endpoint/workstation engineering in a distributed enterprise or retail environment. Expertise in Windows 10/11, macOS, and mobile device management. Deep experience with endpoint management tools: SCCM, Intune, Mosyle, Jamf, Apple Business Manager, Azure AD, Active Directory, O365, VDI solutions. Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Hands-on experience with Tanium for security and compliance. Familiarity with enterprise networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira). Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and conditional access. Industry certifications a plus: Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Jamf Certified Admin, CompTIA Security+. Experience supporting retail POS systems, payment devices, Zebra scanners, Mood Media, Countwise, and related peripherals. Nice to Have:

Compensation:

Pay range:

$130,000-$160,000/year , dependent on experience and background. This role is not eligible for the Guitar Center Company bonus program. Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, and other factors. Pay ranges are listed in compliance with state-specific laws and may differ by location
