Senior Steel Estimator

The Opportunity We're seeking a Senior Steel Estimator with strong fabrication experience to lead estimating for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. In this role, your expertise will directly influence which projects we win, how we plan them, and the value we deliver to our customers.
What You'll Do
Lead estimates for structural and misc. steel projects (including stairs and handrails). Prepare take-offs, assign fabrication shop hours, and develop accurate bids. Review drawings/specs, identify risks, and advise on constructability. Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and shop leadership to ensure accurate and efficient estimates. Work directly with vendors, subcontractors, and GCs/EPCs to secure pricing and clarify scope. Represent RAI in proposals and post-bid interviews. What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience estimating steel fabrication projects ($1M-$15M range). Proficiency with Bluebeam and Tekla EPM/PowerFab (or similar). Solid understanding of AISC and AWS D1.1 welding codes. Knowledge of shop fabrication and erection practices. Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience with proposal writing and post-bid presentations preferred. 3D modeling/steel detailing experience (SDS/2 or other) is a plus. What We Offer
