Regulatory Operations Quality Assurance Engineer
for a
consulting
position that will be
hybrid , in office 4 days per week. No third parties please, candidates must be our W-2 employee and local to NYC area. Responsibilities: Act as Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for testing projects for the operations (Regulatory Operations) department. The Operations department offers client Branches and relevant Front offices to deliver best in class client experience & business growth in a controlled environment. Our client is looking for a dedicated QA-minded professional who would like to provide practical solutions. The QA team focuses on testing all software products regardless of their platform. This role will report into a QA Lead in Technology and will be accountable for the core responsibilities identified. This role will require the leadership and coordination of various resources and the delivery of new processes, procedures, technology, coordinating and conducting validation before product/project launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
Skills: This position will be responsible for testing front end and back end of the applications supporting Markets business.
It is hands on position
, you will be required to provide test strategy, test estimation, write and execute test cases, build test automation where it is applicable. Additional responsibilities include working closely with the stakeholders, project manager, business analysts and the application developers, utilizing functional documentation and technical specifications to facilitate the creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts, perform data analysis and creation of test data, track and help resolve defects. Ensure that all testing is conducted and documented in adherence to client standards.
Qualifications:
Experience working with various Broker/Dealer products securities processing including Equities, Bonds, Treasuries, ABS, MBS, Securitized Products, Repos/Reverse Repo, Stock Borrow/Loan. Experience with Industry wide initiatives within a global bank supporting Regulatory. 6 to 8+ years of experience working in a role spanning from Front office to Back office including finance and Risk. Prior experience in delivering Operations-related projects, familiarity with processes and controls. Experience with middle office systems and Regulatory reporting. Experience working with Bloomberg and other fixed income booking systems (Preferred). Streamline interface to the business 'end to end' operational processes supporting the securities and derivatives product. QA coordinator with proven track record of stakeholder engagement and management. Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC (Agile and Waterfall). Hands on experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Execution and Defect Management. Hands-on experience in creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, functional testing, regression testing, data driven testing and meeting their SLAs. Able to independently review and analyze business requirements; evaluate data sources, business rules etc. Strong understanding of SQL concepts - must have experience in Oracle, SQL Server databases. Experience with Data warehouse, Data lake MS Azure (Preferred). Experience with testing tools such as XRAY, Test Rail, TestNG etc. "Go-getter" attitude.
