What we’re looking for:

The Site DCS/PLC Engineer is responsible for maintaining the sites DCS and PLC systems.

With Minimal supervision and Much decision-making:

DCS/PLC System Management

Lead any changes related to the sites basic process control systems (BPCS), both DCS and PLC based systems

Provide troubleshooting for control systems

Complete programming changes as required

Lead site’s alarm management program

System Architecture

Develop and implement facility control and automation solutions

Responsible for system architecture and automation network drawings

Responsible for System Cyber Security

Responsible for control system network management

Responsible for identifying and developing conceptual scopes for improvements in plant process control systems

Responsible to act as a project team member as required

SIS and Other PSM Activities

Good knowledge of process hazards and associated safeguards, i.e. process control, safety instrumented functions, alarms and operator response

Support testing for online and offline testing of SIS systems

Awareness of importance of instrumented systems used as Independent Protection Layers (IPLs)

Participates in the Process Safety Engineering Team to effectively manage the Facility’s SIS safety life cycle phases

Support SIS and DCS Scope documents as necessary for instrumented IPLs

Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).

Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
