The CPO will be responsible for generating significant annual philanthropic revenue and securing additional funds for capital and special projects. This pivotal role includes creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing the development department budget, and overseeing a small team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in fundraising, which includes major and planned gifts, grant management, and successful special events. Strong collaborative and innovative skills are essential for building and maintaining a robust donor base through thoughtful cultivation and stewardship. Applicants should have a minimum of 7 years' professional fundraising experience in a leadership role, ideally within social service or community-based organizations. This role requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and management skills, as well as proficiency in donor management tools, with a strong preference for Salesforce experience. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and CFRE certification is a plus. The successful candidate should share a passion for the organization's mission, demonstrate the ability to engage with a diverse community, and have a commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards. Experience within the Jewish community is strongly preferred. The candidate should be a dedicated team player, prioritizing the organization’s mission and philanthropic initiatives.
