Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/13/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: 7p-7a (team is flexible and will take travelers who will work either option) LEVEL I TRAUMA EXP REQ MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years FIRST TIME TRAVELERS NOT ACCEPTED RTO: MAX 7 days WEEKENDS: every 3rd weekend CALL REQUIREMENTS: n/a HOLIDAYS: As needed; will work 2 of 3 major holidays, no time off approved between christmas and new years FLOATING: as needed; May rotate to Emergency Transitional Care Unit Emergency Department (ED) is a 74- bed department within York Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited Center of Excellence. In addition to the 74 treatment spaces, we have a 3-bed trauma bay and secure unit for behavioral health patients. Patients are candidates for placement in the ETCU after their initial nursing interventions and procedures have been started in the main ED, and will continue in the ETCU until disposition is made. Med surg nurses will provide inpatient level care to inpatient holds in ETCU. Med/surg nurses will also be cross trained to fill specific tasks in the Emergency Department as needed.
