Job Summary

The Change Manager is responsible for the governance, approval, and safe execution of all changes across non-production environments (QAT, UAT, Performance).

This role ensures that deployments—code, non-code, infrastructure, and network—are properly risk-assessed, scheduled, and executed without disrupting delivery timelines.

The Change Manager works closely with other NPE functions, DevOps, and delivery teams to align approved changes with environment readiness while maintaining stability, compliance, and transparency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

Change Governance & Control Own the ITIL-based change management process for non-production environments (NPEs). Review and assess Requests for Change (RFCs), including impact analysis, approvals/rejections, rollback strategies, and automated verifications. Map every change to upstream/downstream services and data flows. Chair and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings for NPE changes, including daily reviews. Ensure proper documentation of all approvals, decisions, and post-change reviews in Jira/Confluence. Execution Oversight

Oversee execution of approved changes across infrastructure, firewall, network, and security teams. Ensure deployments, tooling integrations, upgrades, and platform changes follow governance workflows. Validate SIS checklists, deployment procedures, and RFC workflows before execution. Monitor and validate successful completion of changes with metrics, logging, and alert configurations. Risk & Technical Due Diligence

Conduct risk assessments for all changes, considering delivery timelines, test cycles, and shared environments. Perform technical due diligence including version compatibility, capacity limits, and configuration drift. Validate dependencies for SaaS/PaaS platforms, billing systems, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), and other critical services. Assess cost and resource implications (infra scaling, firewall expansions, node management). Analyze and resolve recurring environment or configuration issues. Reporting & Dashboarding

Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on change activity, pipeline health, and metrics. Automate dashboards in Power BI/Tableau for leadership visibility. Leverage scripts or chat-ops bots for scheduled reporting. Correlate incidents, RFCs, and intake forms for full visibility into change requests. Collaboration & Communication

Liaise with development, QA, integration, operations, security, testing teams, and vendors. Secure timely approvals for emergency changes. Translate technical risks into clear business-impact summaries for stakeholders. Drive alignment and transparency across cross-functional teams. Analytical & Continuous Improvement

Audit tickets and runbooks to identify edge cases prior to deployment. Validate and test tooling upgrades and automation conditions. Lead retrospectives and refine guardrails based on lessons learned. Track change success/failure rates and implement continuous improvements. Vendor & Third-Party Oversight

Validate dependencies and integrations with third-party vendors in non-production. Assess risks, SLAs, and fallback strategies for vendor-driven changes. Required Qualifications

6–8 years in Change/Release Management with exposure to infrastructure, network, and security changes. Strong ITIL Change Management expertise; proven experience leading CABs. Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Docker, Kafka, Splunk. Knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, security groups). Familiarity with SaaS/PaaS platforms and JIRA Cloud workflows. Strong knowledge of observability tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus). Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau for advanced reporting and dashboarding. SQL scripting skills for validation and log analysis. Excellent coordination, analytical thinking, ownership mindset, and risk management skills. Strong facilitation and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with test and defect management processes. Knowledge of metrics analysis, quantitative management, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with reusable component adoption and governance practices. Background in people management, coaching, and team development.
