Staffmark is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a growing team in Durham, NC. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical systems of the facility, utility equipment, and production machinery. The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
Pay: $28-$30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair facility and production equipment, including boilers, chillers, compressors, and utility lines Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and mechanical systems Perform preventative maintenance and document activities in MMS system Install hardware, conduit, wiring, motors, and other equipment up to 480V Support building systems (HVAC, fire protection, security, alarms) Perform welding as needed (AWS D1.1 certification training available) Participate in safety programs : LOTO, confined space, electrical safety , etc . Serve as a Plant HazMat responder and First Responder (CPR/AED) Assist with special projects and cross-train less experienced technicians Requirements:
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Specialized training in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent experience Proficient in at least 3 disciplines: electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry Experience with PLC programming, AC/DC drives, and industrial controls Strong understanding of NEC codes, safety regulations, and MMS systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work various shifts, including 8, 10, or 12 hours as needed
