Heron Ridge Associates , part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our team in Bingham Farms, MI. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.
As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.
This position is 100% onsite at our Bingham Farms location, with flexibility for the clinician to create their own schedule. Clinicians are expected to work 1-2 evening hours per week and one weekend day per month to support client needs.
As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations
Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
Provide mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and/or couples
Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field Clear, active and unrestricted license (LMSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Michigan
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of professional social work / clinical experience post Master's degree Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults Experience with children and adolescents Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs) Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
