The facility offers a full complement of services, including inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation services, cardiovascular care, including 3 cath labs, emergency care, general surgery, orthopedics, and obstetrics, childbirth, postpartum care, and a future NICU.

ABOUT OUR IP & OP REHAB DEPARTMENT:
We offer rehabilitation services serving a full spectrum of short-term and long-term rehabilitation needs - from hip fracture, joint replacement and sports medicine programs to stroke, traumatic brain injury cardiac surgery and oncology/lymphedema rehabilitation. Our programs encompass both inpatient and outpatient care The inpatient Acute Care Therapy offers unit-based specialized therapists for Oncology/Lymphedema, Neurological Conditions, Stroke, Orthopedics, Limb Loss, Multiple Traumas, and more! Outpatient services are treated at our outpatient clinic located in Longwood, FL Responsibilities
Position Summary Treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities to develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Essential Functions • Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and significant other persons and data sources. • Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives. • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to treat and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload. • Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as delineated in the departmental policies and procedures. • Demonstrates competency in the use, care and maintenance of profession specific equipment, observing safety precautions and providing verbal explanations of the equipment and its purpose. • Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate, and prepares written documentation as required by the department, and the care team. • Recognizes and communicates when the patient has received optimal benefit from therapy. • Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing. • Adheres to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice. • Provides patient/family education as indicated. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedure
Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree or higher from an approved program in occupational therapy. Licensure/Certification
Maintains current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida-temporary permit acceptable. Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Experience
Open to newly licensed or tenured Occupational Therapists!
