Role Summary:
Client Procurement Group is seeking a Procurement Professional to support both strategic and tactical procurement activities across a broad range of indirect categories, including hotels and meetings management, professional services, IT, facilities, supply chain services, and staffing services. This is a hybrid contractor role that requires in-office presence at our Atlanta, GA location. This role will work closely with one or more Purchasing Category Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, execute supplier initiatives, and deliver measurable business value. The position offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to category management while building supplier partnerships that strengthen performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience managing RFIs, RFPs, RFQs; evaluating supplier proposals; and leveraging eProcurement tools such as Zycus for sourcing and contract management. Strong vendor management skills, business acumen, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Support Purchasing Category Managers with sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract execution. Develop and manage sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) in collaboration with business stakeholders. Analyze and compare supplier proposals to assess cost, quality, service, and overall value, delivering data-driven recommendations. Prepare supplier evaluation reports and recommendations for leadership and procurement committees. Partner with business units and affiliates to understand operational needs and provide solutions that balance cost, risk, and performance. Manage purchase orders, sourcing workflows, and contract documentation in Zycus, ensuring compliance with policies and controls. Maintain sourcing and project records (iManage/iSource) and ensure all procurement activities are audit-ready. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, internal approvals, and compliance.
Qualifications & Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (or 4+ years of equivalent experience). 2-3+ years of experience in indirect procurement or purchasing. Automotive or manufacturing industry experience preferred. Purchasing certifications (CPSM, CIPS, etc.) a plus.
Skills
Strong knowledge of indirect sourcing strategies, category management, and procurement best practices. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including Executive Management and external suppliers. Skilled in managing meetings, presentations, and projects with multiple priorities and timelines. Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Zycus or similar eProcurement platforms for sourcing, project management, and contract lifecycle management. Ability to read, interpret, and apply commercial contract terms and conditions in business decisions.
