Crane Operators are responsible for safely operating cranes (All-Terrain and Crawler) to lift a variety of materials.

Essential Functions

Supervise and assist the Crane Oiler/Rigger with load preparation. Assemble boom sections, counterweights for lifting configurations. Understand, recognize, and perform written, verbal, and hand signal instructions. Knowledge of weight and road restrictions pertaining to cranes and heavy equipment. Haul crane components and equipment to job sites and drive semi-trucks with trailer combinations. Evaluate the job site for the proper set up of the crane and equipment. Identify all weight limits, setup, safety regulations, and rigging. Complete field work orders, inspections, and logs accurately. Maintain electronic logs in semi-trucks and paper logs in cranes. Wear PPE. Work closely with coworkers, managers, customers, and crews; keeping a professional and safe environment for all. Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the crane manager. Essential Requirements

Must have a valid NCCCO Crane Operator Certification with TLL, LBC. Valid NCCCO Rigger 1 Certification. Valid NCCCO Signalperson Certification. Minimum of 3 years of crane operating experience. Class A CDL. (AT cranes.) Must have a current DOT medical card. Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. Must be willing and able to travel, work overtime, and work weekends as needed. Ability to read, understand, and follow lift and rigging plans, instructions, and blueprints. Good organizational skills. Mechanical aptitude. Patience, good judgement, attention to detail. Physical Demands:

Vision/Sight: Able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, focus, and assess surroundings. Stand, walk, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel: To operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, and position equipment, tools, etc. Sit: Ability to sit while driving/traveling to work locations. Climb (equipment) and balance: Able to ascend/descend and work atop to service equipment. Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Ability to position oneself and to move freely. Talk and Hear: Ability to communicate, detect, converse with others, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information. Carry weight, lift: Ability to move, transport, position, put/install, and remove parts, equipment, and tools that are 70 lbs.+ continuously.

PAY: Union Local No. 49 Wages
