Primary Responsibilities
Support mechanical and electronic manufacturing processes, including SMT, soldering of PCBA's, and assembly testing for aerospace and defense applications.
Perform quality planning for programs, analyze QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures, and review process plans.
Finalize source inspection checklists, coordinate nonconformance documentation, and assist in root cause and corrective actions.
Review AS9102 FAI documentation and collaborate with DCMA and other government quality assurance agencies.
Collect and report Quality Metrics, approve new drawings, and support project managers during design and manufacturing readiness reviews.
Conduct activities such as PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and supplier surveillance audits.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant work, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years in an ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
Working knowledge of IPC-a-610 and IPC-J-STD-001.
Experience with non-conforming materials, performing failure analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Ability to write procedures, review work instructions, and manage QMS documentation under AS9100 standards.
Capable of interpreting contract quality clauses and developing quality verification procedures.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Strong communication skills and experience working effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Residents of North Alabama preferred, or candidates willing to relocate.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a financial secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts.
Experience with assembly integration and testing.
Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum.
