Working onsite Monday through Friday as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer, you will be focused on metallurgical product development and failure analysis. In this role, you will have an opportunity to analyze a wide variety of machine components, providing design support, development, and the associated failure analysis investigations to various machine component product groups. Lead material failure analysis investigations Develop metallurgical testing plans and analyze test results Create technical reports and/or procedures Effectively communicate results to our internal clients Provide technical support to metallurgical laboratory operations personnel Support deviation requests, assurance of supply opportunities Support the needs of product design, supplier development engineers, etc Provide recommendations to internal clients Work onsite Monday through Friday Education Preference:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited college or university Candidates with relevant experience may be considered without a Bachelor's degree. Responsibilities: · Seeks discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances. · Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation. · Chooses among a diverse set of analytical tools according to the nature of the situation. Reviews others' writing and presentations, providing feedback and coaching. · Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives. · Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience. · Understands and follows all internal and external standards and procedures. · Engages appropriate subject matter resources to resolve technical issues effectively. · Provides effective solutions to technical challenges through strong technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues. · Oversees the testing processes of multiple products in a high-volume manufacturing environment. · Participates in the development of standards, guidelines, and best practices for testing. · Evaluates the business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.

Preferred skills & experience:

Advanced Materials or Metallurgical Engineering Degree

(Highly Preferred) Prior Failure Analysis Experience with Ferrous and Non-Ferrous materials

(Required) Experience working with

Iron or Steel. (Required) Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Experience with component design and/or supporting manufacturing operations Experience with Heat Treatment Processes Experience in creating technical reports, publications and/or procedures. Strong Analytical Skills Self-starter, accountable, and customer-driven with strong teamwork and organizational skills. Compensation: $127,000-$160,000 per year
