Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (no weekends, no on-call)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled
Field Service Technician (FST)
to join our Baytown-based team. This role is designed to support and maintain industrial equipment—including rotary screw compressors, pumps, and diesel-powered systems—while providing excellent service to our customers across Southeast Texas.
The position offers a strong balance of field and shop work (typically 60/40 split) and comes with comprehensive training, modern tools, and the stability of a Monday–Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotary screw oil-flooded compressors, vacuum pumps, manual pumps, and diesel-powered industrial equipment.
Use diagnostic tools, including multimeters, to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic issues.
Provide on-site service at customer locations within a ~300-mile radius (occasional travel as far as Corpus Christi; company credit card provided for lodging if overnight).
Maintain accurate service records, document work performed, and communicate effectively with customers on equipment status and recommendations.
Support shop-based repairs and equipment prep when not in the field.
Adhere to safety and DOT compliance standards; maintain a clean driving record and DOT medical certification.
Deliver strong customer service by working closely with clients, explaining technical issues in clear terms, and ensuring minimal downtime for their operations.
Qualifications
Experience:
Hands-on experience with diesel engines, industrial equipment, or compressors.
Technical Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic skills; ability to use multimeters and other standard tools.
Driver’s License:
Clean driving record required.
Training:
Open to candidates from direct hire, contract, or temp-to-hire backgrounds; company provides up to
1 year of comprehensive training .
