Introduction
The Wildlife Division is seeking to hire three to seven Seasonal Resource Assistants for the Pheasant Program to assist with statewide pheasant stocking. Responsibilities include loading and unloading crates, driving in difficult terrain, handling live birds, and working in hunting areas. Additional duties may involve transporting kayaks for duck nest checks or retrieving deer heads for testing.
Schedule
Positions are 35-40 hours per week, 3-4 days, Monday through Saturday, between 7:30 am 5:00 pm, with flexible hours and occasional evening work. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.

Purpose of Job Class
Performs seasonal tasks and duties as assigned within the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Drives motor vehicles or equipment
Maintains campsites and grounds
Performs first aid and other duties as required
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
Ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid drivers license with a clean record, map navigation skills, ability to work independently or in a team, familiarity with pheasant stocking, willingness to handle live birds, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Special Requirements
May require First Aid certification, pesticide license, EMT certification, or lifeguard certification. Valid drivers license may be mandatory for some positions.
Physical Requirements
Must possess adequate strength and stamina; lifeguards must demonstrate ARC swimming skills.
