RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintaining, implementing and upgrading all production software, supervisors and automation systems
Develops manufacturing projects by studying product requirements, benchmarking industry best practices to improve and/or implement manufacturing methods, tooling, machines and equipment.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow and machines layout.
Responsible for improving machines, equipment and tooling to reduce scrap and losses.
Performs engineering and technical procedures providing economical manufacturing methods to accomplish optimum utilization of machines, tooling, equipment, facilities, quality and timely production.
Responsible for the implementation of safety and ergonomics upgrades to production and ancillary equipment.
Support manufacturing decision-making processes by calculating production capacity, labor, material costs by estimating future requirements.
Support maintenance with equipment and machines troubleshooting.
Responsible for maintaining and improving the plant building and the infrastructure equipment. (Dust Collectors, Air Compressors, Boiler, Transformers, HVAC’s, Sprinklers, Lights, Roll over doors, Natural Gas System …)
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS REQUIREMENT
Ability to
continuously stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, grasp and lift
(up to 50lbs) for up to
8 hours a day on a concrete floor
(over 8 hours when working overtime)
Ability to move around a manufacturing setting.
Ability to work in small, confined spaces (only when necessary).
Ability to work at extreme heights accompanied by required safety devices.
Ability to operate various vibrating mechanical tools and equipment for extended periods of time.
Sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledgeable in pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Knowledge and background in PLC, Control systems, electrical engineering, or electronic engineering technology
Microsoft Office includes Power Point, Word and Excel
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
Level of Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (). Industrial Mechanics / B.S. in Engineering or related field with applicable maintenance training/certifications
Experience Required:
5 + years in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
