SOWA GOAT SANCTUARY
Sowa Goat Sanctuary is looking for kind, calm, dedicated, detail-oriented volunteers who live within an hour drive from Harvard, MA, love animals, and want to help care for our 60+ rescued goats, sheep, pigs, mini cow, livestock guardian dogs, chickens and turkeys. Volunteer responsibilities include feeding and watering, mucking out stalls, sweeping, maintaining the pastures, and spending time with the animals. We believe that giving our animals love and affection every day is an important part of sanctuary and we rely on our volunteers to help us shower the animals with love every day.
We are looking for volunteers who can make a
regular ongoing weekly commitment
and have openings on the following days: Wednesday mornings from 9:00- 11:00 AM Thursday mornings from 9:00- 11:00 AM We invest an extenisve amount of time and energy training our volunteers so we do not take on sporadic, short-term, one-time volunteers or people living outside the US looking for a visa/live-work opportunity.
