This is a remote position and could live on east coast time or central time.
Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial countertop projects.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine scope of work and material requirements.
Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs.
Factor in project-specific requirements, such as installation complexity, lead times, and potential challenges.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Responsible for recording vendor pricing to develop accurate costs for estimates.
Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements, estimates, and potential challenges.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to budgets and timelines.
Ensure that bids are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements.
Assist with project planning and scheduling.
Work with operations to monitor project costs and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
Maintain accurate records of project costs, estimates, and bids.
Work with customers and provide a positive, helpful experience from order to warranty.
Assist customers with product inquiries, answering questions about materials, finishes, pricing, and installation.
Educate customers about different countertop materials (solid surface, granite, quartz, marble, etc.) and their pros and cons.
Turn over projects to the operations team in an effective manner.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve annual sales goals.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Works with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met.
Understanding different types of stone and solid surface and their properties.
Make recommendations to leadership regarding suggested procedural changes.
Perform all duties in a safe manner and identify and correct any potential safety hazards in the workplace.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field .
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of commercial countertop materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
Experience in commercial construction, millwork, or countertop installation.
Experience with cost estimating and bid preparation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify customer needs, present products effectively, and close sales.
Proficiency in using estimating software and other computer applications.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, clients, contractors, and other team members.
