We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for Apartments to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.
Responsibilities:
Complete service tickets and work orders efficiently and accurately. Prepare vacant apartments for new by managing the turnover process. Keep grounds and common areas clean and free of debris Deliver exceptional customer service to Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs, including: •
Repairing electrical circuits, switches, and breakers •
Servicing and installing light fixtures and appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers) •
Fixing and replacing toilets, sinks, vanities, disposals, and caulking •
Handling minor carpentry repairs, including doors, window screens, and blinds •
Painting and drywall repair as needed •
Removing bulk trash, including discarded appliances •
Clearing drains and sewer lines
Basic knowledge of maintenance, repair, and service across multiple areas is . Repair and replace appliances; HVAC and Pool Certifications are a plus. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and safely using ladders. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled.
Qualifications:
•
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation. •
Participate in on-call rotation. •
3-5 years of previous maintenance experience, . •
Must have knowledge of basic maintenance and repair. •
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. •
Ability to travel to on-call properties as well as to pick up supplies as necessary to complete the job.
SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of related duties, including equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance in order to ensure the property and grounds are meeting the company's established standards and any applicable laws. The Maintenance Technician will works directly with the Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all vacated apartments are made "rent-ready", work orders are completed as quickly as possible, and all common repairs (such as touch-up painting and fixture replacement, etc.) are identified and fixed quickly.
