We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Commercial Chiller Service Technician

to join our HVAC team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial chiller systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled chillers. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency of HVAC systems in a variety of commercial settings such as hospitals, office buildings, data centers, and manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.

Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues related to chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related systems

Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment including oil analysis, refrigerant charge checks, and component inspections

Interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure proper system function

Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs

Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local safety regulations and standards

Collaborate with other HVAC technicians and engineers to support building systems and client requirements

Provide emergency and on-call support as needed

Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding service needs, repairs, and system upgrades

Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification

Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with commercial chillers

Universal EPA 608 certification required

Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed

Experience with manufacturers such as Trane, York, Carrier, Daikin, or similar

Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, lift 50+ lbs, and access confined spaces or rooftop units
