Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Huntsville, AL. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for developing software in Java for one of the Regional Applications teams in Huntsville (Battle Management, System-Arch, or Track Server). WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

Responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and providing technical support for systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support Keep software products current, debug and configure related systems Work from specifications to develop or modify operating system applications Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, testing, debugging, and documenting programs Collaborate with other system support groups to resolve issues, establish standards, and enhance the overall efficiency of the operating system Design, code, test, and deploy tools for automating operations. Participate in most phases of software systems programming and may require minor guidance in other phases

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance. 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) Software engineering and development with extensive Java/J2EE experience Will have experience and knowledge of software practices such as: coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration management Proficiency in common software development and management tools such as:

Maven Git/GitHub Nexus Eclipse

Experience with Agile development methodologies Knowledge of standard system engineering design artifacts like Use Cases and SysML diagrams

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

Development of command-and-control systems applications Experience developing enterprise applications on Linux (Windows experience also preferred) Extensive knowledge of Java foundation classes and toolkits Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration Experience with net-centric and horizontal integration programs is a plus Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze performance and operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend, design, and implement solutions Experience with software integration and formal testing Knowledge and experience in implementing Cyber Security/RMF requirements Experience with performance modeling Experience with microservices Experience with DevSecOps and/or build management Designing and building graphical user interfaces Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $105,000 - $130,000.
