Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring recent surgical ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities Work in a Surgical ICU setting within a Level II Trauma Center Care for a diverse post-surgical patient population, including trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho-spine, oncology, and general surgery cases Rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights (7A-7P/7P-7A) Required to work three out of six weekends in each six-week schedule Floating may be required to similar skill set areas such as ICUs or IMCs Utilizes Epic for electronic medical records Responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care to critically ill and post-surgical patients in a high acuity environment May be scheduled to work holidays as needed Local candidates are accepted unless otherwise specified by facility location Scrub requirements are not specified; check with recruiter for facility standards
Requirements Active RN license in MD or compact state Current BLS and ACLS certifications required At least two years of current surgical ICU experience in a hospital with 500+ beds Minimum of two prior travel assignments in similar settings Level II trauma experience required Epic experience required Critical Care certification and trauma course preferred
