Lead Shift Supervisor (Lighthouse)

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Building Operations the Lead Shift Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Residential Aides and for assuring the general welfare, security, and safety of the clients, staff, and facility. Ensures the Residential Aides provide the families with support and assistance during their stay at a CRF shelter.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and provides direct supervision to the Residential Aides Develops work schedule for and ensures coverage on all shifts for the Residential Aides Assist the Director of Building Operations in the oversite of the operations department Participates in the pre-screening and hiring of candidates for vacant operations department positions In collaboration with the Director of Building Operations will provide staff training to the operations staff. Ensures staff are registered for required CRF and DHS trainings Monitors staff compliance in attending required trainings and addresses non-compliance issues with staff Ensures RA's and/or Shift Supervisors are properly completing their assigned duties, including but not limited to incident reporting, rounds, logbook entries, meal distribution, unit inspections, completion of nightly rosters, etc., Assist the Director of Building Operations in ensuring the completion of all tasks in the CARES database (i.e., accept pending arrivals, CARES note entries, etc.) Assist in scheduling and conducting fire drills Tracks inventory of client supplies and submits requisitions for the need client supplies Maintain positive relations and open dialogue with property owners or administration managers and staff; follow up on client or staff grievances, ensuring all concerns and follow ups are documented via email Maintain open and accurate communications with the DHS' HERO unit. Provides vacancy control with updates regarding vacant and off-line units Ensures clients receive DHS correspondence (i.e., 4002 notices or appointment slips) Prepares/Conducts Employee Appraisal Evaluations in a timely and thorough manner Provides emergency shift supervisor coverage as needed Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a High School or GED Diploma Three (3) years of supervisory experience in commercial/residential security or law enforcement In addition, we must maintain active status of a Security and Fire Safety Coordinator Licenses; F-02 and F-80 Must possess a valid New York State Driver's license Experience in commercial and/or residential security services and working with families/homeless population Skilled in leading, motivating and evaluating the performance of assigned staff. Knowledge of office systems; MS-Office preferred. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication, and organizational skills Must have incredible initiative, the ability to work well under pressure, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete complex projects in a fast-paced environment Must be adept and comfortable with crisis management To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily OTHER REQUIREMENTS
