We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, and offers day shifts, Monday through Sunday, from 8am to 8pm. The assignment requires experience in urgent care or emergency medicine, and providers must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages and working independently. Job Details Location: Pennsylvania Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 36 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 8am-8pm; minimum 3 shifts per month required; full-time 12 shifts/month or part-time 10 shifts/month Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages Independently manage urgent care cases, including orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care Perform suturing, incision and drainage, X-rays, EKGs, drawing blood, IV placement, and injections Deliver pediatric and adult care as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Travel between assigned sites within a 30-mile radius as required Additional Information Active Pennsylvania state license required Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience Board certification required ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required DEA and CSR licenses required Must be comfortable working independently without supervision NPDB self-query (no more than 30 days old) must be submitted with application Background check and drug screen completed within the last 12 months required upon offer Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
