Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary:The Inventory Control Specialist is mainly responsible for safely and efficiently performing daily inventory cycle counts, tracking and monitoring inventory within the warehouse, FIFO control, investigating count variances or discrepancies and cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control LeadResponsibilities:
Conduct daily cycle counts of the Finished Goods in the shipping warehouse
Daily track shortage of finished goods inventory and adjust the sales or transfer orders as directed by the shipping leadership team
Collecting logs and gathering data from the Re-Pack stations of the Shipping warehouse for Damaged Goods
Identifying FIFO storage locations and verifying scanning accuracies, product integrity and assist in monthly reconciliation/Physical Inventory
Works independently in a fast pace, rapid changing environment and replenishes materials
Support with the Inventory Control Lead on any continuous improvement projects
Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products
Assist in Maintaining inventory inspection logs, system-based reports, manual reports and other shipping documents as instructed by the Inventory Control lead
Investigating production errors on reporting Inventory
Conduct cycle counts of all materials and identify daily shortages to the Inventory Control Lead
Assist in correction of receiving warehouse transfers and discrepancies
Assist in counting daily receipts at the manufacturing plant involving production for a method to check the number of materials received and confirmed at production
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
2 to 3 years of detail-oriented experience in warehouse Inventory Control, preferably in the food industry and inventory reconciliation
Experience in counting inventory and problem-solving skills
Ability to work upto10 hours on weekdays and when required on Saturdays
Bilingual in English and Spanish, excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic Math skills, knowledge in basic SAP or WMS systems including handheld scanners, basic MS Office
Education:
High School Diploma required
Physical Demands:
Requires walking, standing for long periods of time
Ability to intermittently lift, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds
Ability to become forklift certified and physically able to operate a forklift with Push/Pull attachments in accordance with safety standards
