Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and support systems aimed at enhancing quality and patient safety through innovative health technology. Stay updated on current technologies and patient safety practices to inform system enhancements. Conduct workflow analyses to optimize the use of technology in patient care processes. Engage with end-users across the organization to identify and implement system improvements. Lead user forums to continually assess and enhance system performance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on special projects to improve patient care outcomes. Provide technical support and develop training programs for system enhancements, ensuring users are well-prepared for changes. Identify and cultivate super-users to promote training and support within nursing departments. Communicate effectively across the organization regarding Patient Services initiatives and enhancements. Support data analytics by facilitating the timely use of clinical information for improved healthcare delivery. Consider ethical implications in informatics to safeguard patient privacy and data security. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in acute-care or outpatient clinical settings. 1-3 years of electronic health record (EHR) implementation experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and logical thinking. Project management skills and experience. Current RN license in New York State or Compact State License. Informatics Nurse Specialist certification preferred within 1.5 years of hire. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual duties throughout the day. Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of materials related to nursing practice.
