Job Title: Medical Assistant in Cancer Care

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to support our Cancer Center, specializing in Medical Oncology, Colon Rectal, Otolaryngology (ENT), Breast Health, and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). The position involves taking vitals, medication reconciliation, performing EKGs, and administering vaccines during flu season. Responsibilities also include setting up trays for procedures such as breast biopsies and GI scopes.

Responsibilities

Take patient vitals and perform medication reconciliation.

Conduct EKGs and administer vaccines during flu season.

Set up trays for procedures like breast biopsies and GI scopes.

Support doctors in non-surgical treatments for cancer.

Essential Skills

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, CCMA).

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Must be registered or certified through approved sites (National exam must be proctored).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Two professional references required.

Copy of the actual certification must be provided.

Work Environment

The work schedule can vary between 8 AM to 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM to 4 PM, or 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with time off on eight major holidays. You will work alongside 15 Medical Assistants and 3 leads, reporting directly to supervisors on different floors. The environment is very team-oriented, with a focus on coaching and encouragement to improve patient care. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
