Travel Requirements 2+ years recent PICU experience (must include ~80% PICU & ~20% NICU) MD RN license, BLS & PALS required Epic charting experience (hard stop) Experience with 1:2 ratios (may go to 1:3 for IMC) Must float to NICU, Peds ED, and Peds Progressive Care Unit Trauma Level I experience required Preferences CPI certification preferred Free-standing children’s hospital experience a plus Trauma Level II experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Unit & Shift Details 19-bed PICU with daily census 14–17. Shifts are 3x12s:
Days 07:00–19:00
and
Nights 19:30–07:30 , rotating with every other weekend required. Patient mix includes congenital cardiac defects, cardiac cath recovery, DKA, respiratory diseases (asthma, viral), surgical (neuro, ortho, ENT), chronic complex patients (trach/vent/g-tube), and behavioral health. Nurses perform CRRT, mechanical ventilation management, ABG interpretation, vasopressor titration, and trach care. Equipment includes GE monitors, Draeger/Servo ventilators, LTV, PD dialysis (HomeChoice Pro), and BBraun infusion pumps. Supported by respiratory, PT, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response, IV teams, and unit secretary. About HonorVet Technologies
