Job Description:
The Labor and Delivery Nurse provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. This role utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team is essential, along with participation in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensuring implementation of those solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide and supervise patient care in the labor and delivery unit. Utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. Participate in team efforts to address care variances and patient goals. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience. 1 year of experience with Cerner. Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Why ARMStaffing?
