RN Nurse Manager
to oversee the
Mother Baby / Obstetrics Unit . This is more than a management role-it's an opportunity to lead with purpose in a unit that plays a critical role in the lives of new mothers, infants, and families during one of life's most significant milestones.
In this position, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, clinical quality, and patient satisfaction in a high-acuity setting. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care, implement best practices in postpartum recovery and newborn health, and lead initiatives that elevate both patient outcomes and staff performance.
Your leadership will set the tone for a supportive, respectful, and safe environment-one that promotes not only clinical effectiveness but also emotional connection and empowerment for both patients and staff. Clinical Leadership & Unit Oversight: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Mother Baby / Obstetrics Unit. Ensure safe, high-quality, and family-centered care is delivered consistently across all shifts. Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing and support staff. Develop staff schedules, manage coverage, and ensure proper staffing levels. Quality Improvement & Patient Safety: Monitor patient care metrics and develop action plans to address gaps or areas for improvement. Ensure staff complete the
Management of Aggressive Behavior
training within 90 days of hire. Administrative & Operational Leadership: Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management for the unit. Analyze workflow and recommend innovations to improve clinical efficiency and operational outcomes. Candidate requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field. Licensure: Current and valid
California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- upon hire.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- from the American Heart Association, upon hire. California Fire and Life Safety Card
- to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- to be completed within 90 days of hire.
